Drive beyond Chattogram’s skyline and meet the Bay on the open Anwara coast.

Cross toward Anwara and watch the port city give way to a broader, quieter coastline. Parki Beach lies on the southern side of the Karnaphuli estuary, where sandy stretches and planted coastal trees create space for walking, sea air and sunset. The destination feels more open than Patenga, but services and supervision are also more limited. Treat Parki as a carefully timed day adventure: arrive with daylight, stay on public sections, confirm the return vehicle and do not assume the water is safe simply because the shore looks calm. Estuarine currents and weather can change quickly.

The journey to Parki changes the mood before the beach even appears. Roads toward Anwara move away from central Chattogram’s density and open into a coastal landscape influenced by the Karnaphuli estuary. Reach the shore with enough daylight to walk, find a safe viewpoint and understand the route back. Planted trees and broad sandy sections can create a calmer atmosphere than Patenga, especially outside weekends, but the destination has fewer dependable services.

Treat the outing as a self-contained day trip. Carry drinking water, basic sun and rain protection, and any essential medicine. Mobile coverage and local transport can be less predictable near the coast, so keep the driver’s number, confirm the fare and set a firm pickup time. If you stop near fishing or village activity, avoid blocking work areas and ask before photographing people or boats.

Parki’s open shore may invite swimming, yet estuarine currents, changing tide and limited supervision make caution essential. Enter the water only where local authorities clearly permit and supervise it; otherwise enjoy the coast from land. Keep away from unstable edges, construction zones and isolated stretches after dark. The best finish is simple: walk as the heat fades, watch the western sky deepen and begin the return before visibility drops. Avoid driving onto sensitive beach areas and carry all waste back to the city. Parki offers the thrill of a quieter coast within reach of Chattogram, but its freedom comes with responsibility—plan transport, respect the working shoreline and let conditions decide how far the adventure goes.
